Trapezius Slimming Injections

Trapezius slimming injections are a versatile treatment that can improve appearance, pain and posture. The trapezius is a large piece of muscle that covers the neck, shoulder, and back. We use muscle relaxant injections (anti wrinkle injections) to shrink the muscle which will help with both the cosmetic purpose of slimming and medical purpose of reduces pain.

Trapezius Injections can be used for both cosmetic and medical purposes:

+ Slim & reduce ‘bulky’ appearance of shoulders & neckline
+ Improve & feminise overall appearance of back, neck & shoulders
+ Reduce shoulder and neck discomfort
+ Reduce various forms of tension headaches
+ Help bad posture

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Trapezius Slimming Injections work?

Trapezius Slimming Injections work by targeting the overactive trapezoid muscle, relaxing the muscle to inhibit it from overactivity, and allowing the bulky muscle that’s accumulated to wear down and shrink.

The result is a visible slimming of the treated area. In the case of trapezius, the outcome is a slimmer, elegant appearance for the neck and shoulders with improved definition of the shoulder-to-neck angle. It can also enhance the appearance of good posture.

Can trapezius injections help with pain & discomfort?

In addition to the cosmetic purpose of providing a more feminine appearance to the neck, shoulder, and back area, people experiencing neck & shoulder pain due to overdeveloped trap muscles can also benefit from these trap muscle injections. Trapezius injections can also provide functional relief for certain types of tension headaches.

How many units will I need?

The recommended dose will vary depending on individual muscle strength, however, as a guide: approximately 50-100 units (Type D) | 20-40 (Type B) per side

When will I see results?

Following your treatment, results may become visible within 2-5 days, with full results taking up to 10-14 days to become apparent. The recommended dose will vary depending on individual muscle strength.

How long do the effects of wrinkle relaxers last?

The effects usually last between 3 to 6 months and gradually decrease over time. It depends on the individuals lifestyle and metabolism. Regular treatments may improve the longevity of treatment effects.

Are there risks or side effects?

All medical procedures carry risk. You should discuss this risk with your cosmetic injector at the time of your consultation.
